10. Visit at least 100 different countries
I have been lucky enough to visit almost 50 different countries already and I am only 31 years old. I figure that if I keep travelling I should be able to get to the 100 mark.
9. Get Published
Growing up in high school I hated writing. However, as I grew older, read more books, and studied interesting topics I began to enjoy writing. Someday I hope to get a piece of my writing in a book or journal.
8. Scuba Dive the Red Sea
My scuba diving log book has 125 dives in it. I have been diving in Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Croatia, and Fiji but never in the Red Sea. The Rea Sea is regarded as the best place to dive in the world.
7. Get a hole-in-one
I love golf! I would golf everyday if possible. Before I die I want to get a hole-in-one at least once. I think if i am 90 years old and have still not got one I will buy 1000 golf balls and just play a Par 3 over and over and over until I get one.
6. Attend the Olympics and/or World Cup
For most of my life I have been a huge sports fan. The Olympics and World Cup are the two biggest sporting events on the planet. I think it would be amazing to attend, be a part of the festivities, and see all the world class athletes.
5. Finish a Marathon
I HATE running but every year I go and watch the Manitoba Marathon and get jealous of those people that finish the marathon. The look of relief, pride, and joy that is evident when they cross the finish line must make all the pain and anguish worthwhile.
4. Get myself organized
I have to be one of the most disorganized people I know. I seem to always lose my wallet, passport, credit cards, or anything else that people of my age are not supposed to lose. One of these days I'll learn my lesson.
3. Have a 50th Wedding Anniversary
I'm 31 years old now and about 2.5 months into married life. If all goes well Mel and I will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary when i am 81 years old. We are going to throw a huge party and invite all our friends that have helped up along in our lives.
2. See my Son or Daughter achieve their goals
I can't think of anything more rewarding than seeing my children reach their full potential. I don't even care if they love the same things that I do, or did at their age, as long as they are happy.
1. See my former students achieve great things!
Similar to my kids, I hope that in 10 years I can see some of my students making a difference in the world. It would be amazing to watch the news and say "wow, they discovered a cure for....." or "whoa, it's great that they are doing such great things..." I know my students are capable and hope and pray they reach their potential!
